Working at the Festival

Media accreditation for the 15th International Human Rights Documentary Film Festival Docudays UA will open in February 2019.


The 15th International Human Rights Documentary Film Festival Docudays UA will take place in Kyiv between March 23 and 30 in the Zhovten Cinema (26 Kostiantynivska str.), Ukraine Cinema (5 Arkhitektora Horodetskoho str.) and at the IZONE creative space (8 Naberezhno-Luhova str.).


The accredited journalists will be able to receive the festival press package and the accreditation PRESS badges at the ACCREDITATION section of the Zhovten Cinema (to the left of the central entrance).


On March 23, between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m.

On March 24–28, between 10 a.m. and 7 p.m.


Docudays UA 2018 Opening Ceremony: March 23, 7 p.m.

Docudays UA 2018 Closing Ceremony: March 29, 7 p.m.


This year, entry to the Opening and Closing Ceremonies are by invitation only. All the accredited journalists will receive information about the invitations at their email addresses.


About the Tickets

With the PRESS badge, you will be able to obtain free tickets to evening screenings. You can obtain the tickets the day before or on the day of the screening from festival ticket windows. Please take your seat in the audience 10 minutes before the screening. If you are late to the screening, festival employees have the right to deny you entry.

During the festival, the ticket windows of the Zhovten and Ukraine Cinemas will be open every day. The ticket windows will open on March 12.

Between 9 a.m and 10 p.m. at the Zhovten Cinema (until March 30)

Between 10 a.m. and 10 p.m. at the Ukraine Cinema (until March 29)

About the Accreditation

Accreditation for Docucays UA 2018 ended on March 9. Accreditation will be given only to employees of official media (registered printed media, radio, and television, informational and informational-analytical online media). The decision about providing accreditation to freelance journalists will be made by the Press Office based on previous experience of collaboration with the journalist or on a review of his or her publications. After the end of the festival, the journalist must provide links to publications or any other confirmation that they have published a material about the festival in the media upon request from the Press Office. The festival Press Office reserves the right to deny accreditation without explaining its decision.


About the Video Library

The competition program can be watched at our Video Library, which will work between March 24 and 28, from 11 a.m. until 9 p.m., and on March 29 from 11 a.m. until 6 p.m. The Video Library is located in the Seance Hall on the first floor of the Zhovten Cinema.


Rules for Photo and Video Recording at Docudays UA

During the Festival Opening and Closing Ceremonies, it is allowed to make photographs and record video in the cinema hall during the official introduction and for up to 10 minutes during the film screening. It is prohibited to make photos and video recordings during all the other screenings.


At the DOCU/CLASS events, photo and video recording are allowed for up to 5 minutes. Taking photos and recording video at the LIVING LIBRARY are allowed only if the project participants agree to it.


Any photo- and video recording must be approved in advance by the festival Press Office.
