Born in 1971 in Riga, Latvia, he graduated from the Latvian Academy of Culture as a theatre and film director. In recent years he has had an international career as opera director, staging productions in Berlin, Cologne, and Darmstadt. Recently he finished the epic historical film Chronicles of Melany, which will be released in 2016.
The festival pass gives access to the rich Docudays UA offline programme, namely the best documentaries from around the world and meetings with their authors. The 20th Docudays UA will take place on 2–8 June 2023.
2022 pass holders who did not use them during the Docudays UA Special Edition last year can receive a pass for the 20th festival free of charge. If the pass has been used, you can get a 50% discount.
