Lidiya Topolevska is the leader of the public organization “SIM Legal and Political Research Center “ (Lviv, Ukraine). She is chairman of the Ukrainian Helsinki Human Rights Group, vice chairman of the Public Council at the Main Headquarters of the Ministry of the Interior Affairs of Ukraine in Lviv Oblast, vice chairman of the Public Council at the Lviv Office of the State Penitentiary Service, member of the Supervisory Committee at the Halytska Regional Administration of the city of Lviv, Ukraine. Lidiya Topolevska graduated in pedagogy and law; she taught at a school. From 2000, she worked in the Kharkiv Human Rights Group. After moving to Lviv in 2006, she ran the public consultation room of the SIM Centre providing consultations and legal support to citizens; she managed projects aimed at defending human rights. From 2009, she has taken part in the development of the National Memorial Museum to the Victims of Occupational Regimes, the Lontsky Street Prison (Lviv, Ukraine).
