“See Ukraine: An Empty Pedestal”

The cultural diplomacy project of Docudays UA. The project included screenings of Ukrainian documentaries, an exhibition of Ukrainian artists, and a public discussion with Ukrainian and international experts.

See Ukraine in Madrid
12-14 of October, there was a weekend of Ukrainian documentaries in Madrid. It is here that the European journey of the Docudays UA Festival will start. The screenings, attended by the films’ authors, will, for the second time, take place in Cineteca Madrid, which specializes in auteur and documentary cinema.

SEE UKRAINE IN MUNICH
The European tour “See Ukraine: An Empty Pedestal” by the Docudays UA arrives in Munich on November 6-11. The Monopol Kino cinema hall will host film screenings, the LOVAAS gallery will present the contemporary Ukrainian art exhibition, while one of the oldest universities in Germany, Ludwig Maximilians Universität, will provide the venue for open discussions.

SEE UKRAINE IN PARIS
Paris hosted the final event of this year’s European tour “See Ukraine: An Empty Pedestal” on December 3-9. La Filmothèque du Quartier Latin hosted film screenings, the Jour et Nuit Culture gallery presented the contemporary Ukrainian art exhibition, while the INALCO university provided the venue for open discussions.

    Festival Pass

    The festival pass gives you access to the Docudays UA-2026 program. With it, you will be able to attend screenings of the best documentaries from all over the world and meetings with their authors at the best price.

    This year, we offer a choice of three types of festival passes: classic, student and morning. The classic pass is valid from June 5 to June 12 at Zhovten Cinema and KINO42, while the morning pass allows you to book tickets for film screenings that start no later than 16:30 from June 5 to June 12 at Zhovten Cinema and KINO42.

    If you are a student (school or university), please indicate your student ID number. Internally displaced persons who are studying and do not have such a document can indicate the IDP certificate number.

    Upon successful payment, you will receive an electronic festival pass.
