Anas Khelawy graduated from the Academy of Arts at High Institute of Cinema in Cairo, production division. In 1997 he joined the Egyptian TV Nile News Channel and produced several documentaries and TV shows there. Later, he was a production manager on several feature and documentary films. In 2005 he joined Aljazeera Media Network as an associated producer, and in 2007 assisted in launching AJD as a producer. From 2014 until now he has worked as a senior commissioning producer on the Aljazeera Documentary Channel, with the following responsibilities: evaluating and elaborating ideas, developing film treatments, setting plans and strategies for production, working on and evaluating film budgets, encouraging and stimulating partnerships with filmmakers, reducing production risks, encouraging team spirit, communicating with production teams across the network, and coordinating with finance, legal and business affairs departments regarding production matters.
