Civil society organisations and media are creating events in the RIGHTS NOW! during 21 Docudays UA

16 April 2024

In February, we invited NGOs to work on the 21st Docudays UA discussion platform. Meet the participants!

This year, six civil society organisations and media will join us in co-creating the RIGHTS NOW! Human Rights Programme during the Docudays UA International Human Rights Documentary Film Festival. They are NGO Magnolia, Principle Human Rights Centre for Military Members, ZMINA Human Rights Centre, NGO Stan, Ukrayinska Pravda media, and the Crimea.Realities project by Radio Liberty.

"We have received over twenty applications from powerful civil society organisations, initiatives, and media. It was tough for us to choose because each proposed subject was essential. Ultimately, we decided to focus on events that bring up challenges related to human rights and the war. We have also considered the proposed discussions' creativity and novelty. We are very grateful to all the organisations for participating in the selection," commented Ksenia Shymanska, Director of the Human Rights Department.

As a reminder, the RIGHTS NOW! Human Rights Programme is an annual programme held during the Docudays UA International Human Rights Documentary Film Festival. This year, the organisers are preparing events in various formats: premieres of journalistic investigations, film screenings, discussions with experts, and open conversations.

Follow the publications on the website. We will make a full RIGHTS NOW! programme announcement soon.
