Opportunity for documentary filmmakers: open call for Berlinale accreditation

01 November 2024

The Docudays NGO announces an open call for applications from documentary film professionals for EFM Market Badge + Festival accreditation for the 75th Berlinale. This type of accreditation provides access to the EFM market industry events and festival screenings.

From the applications received, we will select four most motivated documentary film professionals for whom participation in the 75th Berlinale will have a significant impact on their professional work. These four winners will receive accreditation free of charge.

All interested filmmakers are required to fill in an application form describing their purpose for participating in the Berlinale and how it can help them develop their professional work. Filmmakers, producers, curators, film researchers and other documentary professionals are welcome to apply.

Applications will be accepted from 1 to 14 November 2024, 15:00 Kyiv time. Applicants will be informed of the selection results on 20 November 2024

Please note that we do not cover travel and accommodation costs during the 75th Berlinale.

Also, the accreditation does not automatically mean that the persons liable for military service will be granted a travel permit: to obtain this permit, the persons liable for military service will have to apply for assistance from the Ministry of Culture and Strategic Communications of Ukraine or provide other documents confirming the right to cross the border in accordance with the current legislation.
