We are pleased to announce that LAB: DOCU/SYNTHESIS x Ukraine War Archive will participate in the AFIELD Forum, co-organized with KANAL-Centre Pompidou and Kunstenfestivaldesarts in Brussels.
As part of the public discussion program, the Laboratory's curator, Oleksandra Nabieva, will speak about artistic work with documentary materials from the Ukraine War Archive. The forum will also feature the premiere screening of the film (Re)Covered Memory by Oleksandra Pletenetska and Anna Mikheienko (work in progress), created within the Laboratory.
The forum's program is dedicated to the role of cinema in restoring justice and shaping collective memory, as well as the impact of art on healing societies and individuals affected by crimes.
KANAL is a new interdisciplinary museum of modern and contemporary art initiated by the Brussels-Capital Region.
