RAW DOC. Call for Applications is Now Open!

07 April 2025
This year, we continue the wonderful tradition of supporting documentary filmmakers and invite projects in the final stages of production to take part in the industry section during the 22nd Docudays UA.

Last year, the Docudays UA team selected three films for the RAW DOC program, directed by Anhelina Kariakina, Alisa Kovalenko, and Olena Fediuk. They had the opportunity to meet with representatives from sales companies (CAT&Docs, Lightbox, Square Eyes), international broadcasters (ARTE, BBC, ZDF/Arte), and many others. Just this March, Alisa Kovalenko’s film My Dear Theo had its world premiere at CPH:DOX.

RAW DOC is a program designed for filmmakers who are working on the final editing stage (rough cuts) of their films and want to screen them to international industry experts for professional feedback.

During the closed screenings, participants will have the chance to meet potential partners, including representatives of European public broadcasters, sales agents, and festivals.

>> RULES & REQUIREMENTS <<

This year, the program will take place during the 22nd Docudays UA in Kyiv.

We invite submissions of feature-length documentary projects (at least 60 minutes) in the final stage of editing, created by Ukrainian directors. Priority will be given to works that have not been presented at this stage of production on any other industry platforms in Ukraine, and have not participated in international work-in-progress presentations.

We’re accepting applications until May 5, 2025. The Docudays UA team will select up to three projects in the final stage of production. The selected participants will be announced on May 15, 2025.

Applications are open to all and free of charge.
