A Glimpse of ARTE: Special programme of the 22nd Docudays UA

19 May 2025

We present a special programme of films at the Docudays UA festival, produced in (co-)production with the legendary public broadcaster ARTE France.

"We often say that ARTE is a European platform with a strong focus on documentaries from around the world. In this programme — a window into ARTE — we've brought together several films that have won awards at international festivals: about jazz, the decolonization of Africa, the CIA, drug trafficking in Marseille, American voters, and Christian fundamentalism. Very diverse in style and subject matter, these films reflect the authenticity of the authors we work with. This eclecticism is part of ARTE’s very essence. Sharing these films with Docudays UA is also our way of welcoming the festival and participating in a dialogue with the Ukrainian documentary community. We hope you enjoy it!" — said Fabrice Puchault, Head of Society and Culture at ARTE France.

The special programme A Glimpse of ARTE includes:

As part of the DOCU/PRO industry platform, there will also be a masterclass by the ARTE France team. Fabrice Puchault, and Clément Touron will speak live about the broadcaster’s structure and share practical advice on building international partnerships. More about the invited experts and the event can be found via the link.
