Live Storytelling: Between Testimony, Journalism, and Theatre

Duration
120’
A thematic discussion from the DOCU/SYNTHESIS program with the team behind the documentary performance Radio Live

How do testimonies form the basis of a performance? How can one tell one’s own story from the stage? How does the ‘live’ form work and evolve? The creative team behind the documentary performance Radio Live will discuss the creation of a performance based on testimonies, and their work with memory and vulnerability. They will explore how perceptions of stories vary across countries and contexts, as well as how artistic and journalistic practices respond to the experience of war.

Participants:
Aurélie Charon, Mathilde Gamon, Oksana Leuta, TBA.

Moderator:
Asia Pavlenko, Manager for the Performing Arts Programme at the Ukrainian Institute.
