Your Illustrated Festival Guide to Docudays UA 2026

08 June 2026

How to Navigate This Year’s Docudays UA Programme?

Pick up your printed festival guide at our venues, partner locations, or information points. The guide was created by film curator, writer, and cultural manager Olga Birzul, alongside designer and artist Lara Yakovenko.

"The printed guide is our modest attempt to carve out a space away from the endless stream of notifications, feeds, and screens. It is meant to help you find your way through the festival’s rich programme, and to remain as a physical keepsake of days filled with cinema, conversations, and encounters. Perhaps one day you will come across it on a shelf or tucked away in a drawer — and it will take you back to those festival impressions. My hope is that this year it will serve not only as a navigator, but also as a spark for new ideas and reflections," shared Olga Birzul.

"For me, creating the guide is a search for harmony between the festival’s visual language and the meaning it carries. There is room for creative freedom in this process, but also firm boundaries dictated by the delicacy of the themes. Alongside that freedom, I treasure the collaboration with people I first met years ago, who have since become genuine friends," shared Lara Yakovenko.
