In this film, we follow family of filmmakers from 2013 when the Maidan and the Revolution of Dignity occurred, to the moment they return home from abroad.

A young, established Ukrainian filmmaker's family was forced to leave their homeland to protect their three children from shelling after Russian forces invaded Ukraine. Using a camera to capture these upheavals, the family documents their journey primarily through the reactions of their children. Living as expatriates, the family is haunted by memories of romantic moments from when they first got married, interwoven with significant Ukrainian historical events such as the Maidan Revolution and the occupation of Crimea — both of which are captured in their extensive family archive. They grapple with the question of when the right time to return home or stay abroad would be. But what will constitute as a home for the children in that case?
