In wartime Kyiv, a Ukrainian director Ganna documents the construction of a foreign architect’s ‘healing garden’. The story grows as she recognizes her own need for healing. Therapy sessions and daily life in Kyiv reveal her buried trauma and the emotional cost of surviving war without visible scars.

All F*cked Up explores coping with trauma in wartime civilian life in Ukraine. Director Ganna Iaroshevych begins filming Mikael, a Danish architect building a therapy garden for people with PTSD in Kyiv. As Mikael’s project struggles to take root, her camera turns inward and Ganna becomes a co-protagonist, confronting her own suppressed trauma. Against the backdrop of sirens, blackouts, and the surreal coexistence of war and everyday life, the film blends observational footage of the city and civilians with audio recordings from Ganna’s therapy sessions, exploring how war reshapes our sense of time, safety, intimacy, and meaning.
