Three Ukrainians face the war from radically different paths: Vitaly, 19yo, becomes adrone pilot in a volunteer unit in the East, as Fyodor, born into a Russian family, fleeswestward, torn by exile and identity, and Anya struggles to raise her young son alone after her husband’s execution.

The parallel trajectories of three Ukrainian lives diverted by war echo each other. Vitaly, 19, grows up between his life as a computer science student in Kyiv and the fighting in the East, where he joins a volunteer unit as a drone pilot. Fyodor, 26, whose family is Russian, goes into illegal exile in the West in the hope of finding a newfuture free from the conflicts of allegiance and identity that paralyze him. As for Anya, she strives to cultivate a stable daily life to raise her 7-year-old son after her husband's execution in her village, where life must go on.
