Odesa’s underground musicians refuse to be silenced by war. This film is their voice. Black Sea, White Noise is a coming-of-age story set in Odesa’s alternative music scene.

Odesa, the historic Black Sea port famous for its wild nightlife, is braced for Russian attacks. But it takes more than bombs and curfew to silence the city’s raucous underground music scene. Music is their port in a storm that threatens to overwhelm them. Somehow, the pressure of wartime ignites the scene with frenzied energy and inspiration. Everyone talks about their dream to stage a huge outdoor concert to celebrate peace.
