Ganna Iaroshevych works as a filmmaker and editor in Ukraine. She has a BA in Journalism and an MA in Creative Media Practice, which she earned at the University of Sussex in 2014. While studying in the UK, she worked as a freelance video maker and editor for TV and independent film projects. Since 2014, Ganna has been working for Babylon’13 as a film director and editor. She has completed 10 short documentaries for their YouTube channel (which has more than 60,000 subscribers), and some of them were selected for national film festivals and cinema screenings.
As Far As Possible is her debut full-length documentary, which was released in 2021. The film was screened at several international film festivals (Cervino Cinemountain, Makedox, Beldocs, CinEast Festivals and New Renaissance Festival London) and won an award at Docudays UA. In 2022, Ganna completed the editing of the short documentary You Know It Will Be About War (dir. Olga Tsybulska), which was screened at Visions du Reel. In 2023, she worked on the rough cut for the documentary Flowers of Ukraine (dir. Adelina Borets), which won the award for Best Documentary at the Molodist International Film Festival in Kyiv (2024).
