Mette Hoffman Meyer is the founder and CEO of The Why Foundation, an organisation that produces and distributes documentaries all over the world. Mette was previously head of documentaries and co-productions at Denmark’s public service broadcasting cooperation DR, and editor of the factual series Documania on DR channel 2.
Hoffman Meyer has helped finance films like the Oscar-winning Taxi to the Dark Side, The Queen of Versailles and the U.S.-Danish co-productions: Pussy Riot: A Punk Prayer and the Sundance award-winning film The Red Chapel. She has also spearheaded the Why Poverty? projects, a series of eight films aired by 70 broadcasters, reaching more than 500 million people worldwide.
The festival pass gives access to the rich Docudays UA offline programme, namely the best documentaries from around the world and meetings with their authors. The 20th Docudays UA will take place on 2–8 June 2023.
2022 pass holders who did not use them during the Docudays UA Special Edition last year can receive a pass for the 20th festival free of charge. If the pass has been used, you can get a 50% discount. From 30 May: Pass price: UAH 1,200. Student pass: UAH 700.
