Aleksandra was born in Kyiv, Ukraine. She has been working as a coordinator at numerous music and cinema festivals such as Nouveaux Cinema Ukraine and Cinemascope. After getting her master’s degree in international economics, she moved to France to work as a festival programmer at Festival International de Nancy and later obtained her second master’s degree in cultural management.
In 2013, she was part of the NISI MASA team as European short pitch project coordinator for three years. Then, she worked for the Institut Lumière and Festival Lumière in Lyon. She has also been writing for a UK film platform, Film Debate, as a foreign film critic.
In 2017, she joined the Marché du Film team at Cannes Film Festival as part of the Industry Programmes department, and since 2018 she has been dividing her time between Marché du Film as Head of Programmes and Training, and Ventana Sur (the European and Latin American International Market) as International Industry Coordinator.
