Sarah Dawson is currently a programmer at the International Documentary Film Festival of Amsterdam (IDFA). Her previous roles have included Associate Programmer at Sheffield Doc/Fest and Festival Manager at the Durban International Film Festival, South Africa, as well as writing and lecturing on film for various institutions and publications. She has an MA in Film Theory from the University of KwaZulu-Natal.
Areas of expertise: festival strategy, ethics of filmmaker-subject relationships, hybrid documentary; the requirements of the IDFA Bertha Fund.
The festival pass gives access to the rich Docudays UA offline programme, namely the best documentaries from around the world and meetings with their authors. The 20th Docudays UA will take place on 2–8 June 2023.
2022 pass holders who did not use them during the Docudays UA Special Edition last year can receive a pass for the 20th festival free of charge. If the pass has been used, you can get a 50% discount.
