Photinus Studio is an initiative by the artists Lera Polianskova, Max Robotov and Ivan Svitlychnyi, as well as the musician Georgiy Potopalsky. Created as a workshop for experimental works with digital instruments (sound, video, programming, etc.), Plotinus Studio gradually grew into an art community of various professionals — artists, software developers, engineers — united by their interest in new media art.
One of the studio’s special characteristics is the principle of working together. The projects that are developed there can be joint or individual, but the idea’s author can always ask other participants for help and expect collective support. Another characteristic is the multidisciplinary approach. In the practice of Photinus Studio, it becomes a universal principle for conversations about the interaction between humans and natural environments, and about web environments as a space for social and political limitations and opportunities.
