Morning Coffee with ARTE: talking about Generation Ukraine

Duration
60’

In this morning session, we're excited to showcase the Generation Ukraine film collection and delve into the world of public broadcasters. We'll explore the types of documentaries that spark their interest, as well as the vital role that documentary films play in public broadcaster programming and their broader impact on culture and business. Using Generation Ukraine as a case study, we're going to examine how these documentaries serve as powerful vehicles for storytelling and cultural exchange.

Generation Ukraine* is a project of the French-German media platform ARTE in cooperation with ARTE France, ARTE G.E.I.E., ARTE Germany, Ministère de l’Europe et des affaires étrangères, Goethe Institut, Council of Europe, BR, MDR, RBB, SWR, 2DF, Documentary Association of Europe, Doc Society and the Ukrainian Institute, aimed at supporting the Ukrainian documentary filmmaking industry. The project will result in 12 documentaries made by Ukrainian filmmakers after the full-scale invasion and co-produced by ARTE. These films explore the Ukrainian reality from the inside, telling about the consequences of the Russian war against Ukraine.
