In Argentina’s heartland, a prolonged drought threatens to extinguish the gaucho way of life, and the land now bears the heavy burden of dying livestock. Omar, a hardworking cattle rancher, struggles to keep his cows alive, we witness the heart-wrenching decisions he must make to save what little remains. Meanwhile, Omar's 93-year-old mother has begun making plans for her own departure.

Alexis Franco was born in Argentina and currently lives in the United States, working in both cinema and architecture. He has worked with renowned film director Roberto Minervini as Assistant Director on numerous projects with worldwide recognition, including Stop the Pounding Heart, The Other Side, and What You Gonna Do When the World’s On Fire? Franco currently works as an architect at Collaborative Designworks, a design firm whose projects have been awarded and recognized nationally.
