Docudays NGO at the “All Together” festival: screenings and activities for children and teenagers

12 September 2025

We continue the tradition started last year! Docudays NGO projects will be presented in the program of the children’s and teenagers’ festival “All Together” at the Mystetskyi Arsenal on September 19–21. Here’s what films and activities visitors can expect.

The “Arsenal of Ideas. All Together” festival is a project that engages children, teenagers, and parents in education through creativity and play-based practices, popularizing “new ways” of learning for everyone, regardless of age or educational needs. Last year, our team took part in the festival program for the first time: we showcased colorful cinematic artifacts and held interactive workshops on documentary films and human rights. Having gained a fruitful and warm experience, we are continuing this initiative. This year the Docudays NGO will present film screenings, creative workshops, quests, and a 360-degree virtual reality film Archive of Silence, created as part of LAB: DOCU/SYNTHESIS x Ukraine War Archive.

The youngest viewers aged 3+ will be able to watch a cycle of colorful animation The Magic Wardrobe by Krista Burāne and a gentle puppet thriller about robots and dreams The Nap by Nils Skapāns. The screening will take place on September 19 at 1:00 p.m.

“Each of the five short musical animated films of ‘The Magic Wardrobe’ was created by a separate artist with their own unique style. In my opinion, as a result, we managed to create magical worlds that can keep secrets, bring joy, sometimes scare, and spark a thirst for adventure! These stories were developed with several goals: to develop children’s imaginative thinking, awaken curiosity about music, and shape an understanding of the surrounding world,” shares Latvian animation producer Uldis Cekulis.

Two more short films will tell stories of growing up and teenage life in different parts of the world. On September 20 at 5:30 p.m., there will be a screening and discussion of the Ukrainian film How I Spent My Summer Holidays by Antonio Lukich with the participation of the film’s creators, as well as the DOCU/CLUB Network collection film Ramboy about a summer on the Irish island of Achill, directed by Matthias Joulaud and Lucien Roux.

We invite you to visit the Docudays NGO stand and get to know us! On September 19 at 4:00 p.m., there will be a collage film poster workshop led by the artist and Docudays UA festival designer Dasha Podoltseva. You will also experience the world of frozen installations from the Poltava Regional Museum in the virtual reality film Archive of Silence, created by directors Vartan Markarian and Vadym Makhitka. In addition, we are preparing quests, art exercises, and a RIGHTS NOW! quiz to talk about documentary films, democracy, and human rights.

At the stand, we will tell you about exciting opportunities for children and young people: the children’s and teen festival film program, how to become a volunteer or join the student jury, where to watch documentary films for free throughout the year – about the Travelling Docudays UA in 19 regions of Ukraine and the DOCU/CLUB film club network!

Join the “Arsenal of Ideas. All Together” festival with your family and loved ones. The tickets are available via the link, and on our Docudays UA social media you'll be able to watch online broadcasts of the most interesting activities.
