Vadym Ilkov
Vadym Ilkov is a cinematographer and documentary director, born in Donetsk, Ukraine. A graduate of the Karpenko-Kary National University of Theatre, Film and Television in Kyiv, he works as DOP across feature, documentary, and animated film. Recent credits include Grey Bees (Rotterdam IFF 2024) and The Editorial Office (Berlinale 2024). In 2020, he won the ‘Golden Dzyga’award for Best Cinematography for the film Volcano.
As director, his documentary My Father Is My Mother's Brother won Most Innovative Film at Visions du Réel 2018. He is currently serving in the 39th Marine Brigade.Selected Filmography
