17-year-old Danylo works as a ferryman in the shadow of a destroyed bridge 50 km from Kharkiv to earn money and continue his studies at a sports academy. Still, his dreams of becoming a professional kayaker collide with the reality of wartime.

After the deoccupation of the Kharkiv region, Danylo works as a ferryman in the shadow of a destroyed bridge to earn money and continue his studies at a sports academy, but his dreams of becoming a professional kayaker are shattered. Danylo ferries civilians and humanitarian goods. It also transports the military, wounded and killed. He works side by side with adult men. In 2023, a temporary pedestrian crossing is opened, and Danylo loses his job. After reluctantly doing one training kayaking session in a year and a half, he chooses fun over discipline and pursuing sport: repairing a moped, shooting an air pistol… The war and the harsh environment change the guy, pushing him to make mistakes.
