Karina, a girl from Poland who came on a humanitarian mission at the beginning of the war, now relocated to Ukrainian village where she found a ‘foster’ family and harmony. But, despite her health problems, she volunteered as a medic in the army, where she could die any day...

Films follows Karina Markiewicz, a Pole with Moroccan roots who, like a large number of other people, could not remain indifferent to the onset of full-scale war in Ukraine. She came to Ukraine with humanitarian aid and a mission to rescue children from the orphanage in the city of Sumy. Later she joined the Kyiv Region Territorial Defence in the Myrne village. The woman continued to actively help those in need. She rented an old house in the countryside  in Kyiv region, and has been taking care of a lonely elderly couple there, whom she started to call dad and mum.
