Iva, deaf since birth, flees war-torn Ukraine with her son Mykyta, seeking refuge in Germany. In Berlin, she receives a Cochlear implant, offering her a chance to hear for the first time. Amidst the chaos of war and displacement, Iva embarks on a journey to listen, adapt, and make her voice heard.

Iva is an art curator and human rights activist, and at the same time, a person with a disability. Iva can't hear the world, but she can speak. When Russia started the full-scale invasion of Ukraine, Iva and her son Mykyta decide to start their path as refugees to Germany. As a refugee, Iva has access to medical research and gets Cochlear surgery implants in Berlin. When the doctor activates Iva’s implants she begins to hear sounds again. She hears the voice of her son Mykyta for the first time in life. Everyday Iva teaches herself how to hear every sound and tries to be part of a new life in Germany.
