The main goal of Indie Lab. Documentary Workshop for Young Ukrainian Filmmakers is to encourage youth to use documentaries created by them as a way of engaging others on issues vital to Ukraine’s democratic reform. Indie Lab was launched in 2013 and is held annually with the support of the U.S. Embassy in Ukraine.
First or second-time film directors work on filming and editing short documentaries under the supervision of experienced American and Ukrainian film professionals. Indie Lab films promote developing Ukrainian documentary film culture. They are screened at numerous film festivals in Ukraine and abroad.

The festival pass gives access to the rich Docudays UA offline programme, namely the best documentaries from around the world and meetings with their authors. The 20th Docudays UA will take place on 2–8 June 2023.
2022 pass holders who did not use them during the Docudays UA Special Edition last year can receive a pass for the 20th festival free of charge. If the pass has been used, you can get a 50% discount. To apply for it, please email us at [email protected] and indicate the email address specified in your previous order.

Pass price: UAH 750.
Student pass: UAH 500.
From 30 May: Pass price: UAH 1,200. Student pass: UAH 700.
