Biography
Snizhana Husarevych is a Ukrainian director specialising in documentary and feature films. Her work often focuses on human rights issues, addressing topics of disability, homelessness, gender equality, and women’s political rights. She documented the events of the Maidan during the Revolution of Dignity. In 2020, she received the Special Jury Award at the Kharkiv Film Festival MeetDocs for her documentary Not Alone. Snizhana’s works have been showcased in Ukrainian educational institutions and at international forums in Georgia and the USA. Since 2022, she has been working on sensitive military themes, including the rehabilitation of soldiers, coping with loss during war, internally displaced persons, and refugees. She has collaborated with international media outlets such as The Guardian and ZDF and participated in the Global Media Makers program by Film Independent.
