Biography

 

Sabina Asadova is a film producer, documentary filmmaker, member of the Documentary Association of Europe. Sabina has a Master's degree in Film studies from the Kyiv University of Theatre, Cinema and TV. She graduated from the Documentary Film Workshop at the Kyiv Institute of Journalism. Sabina has been working in the Ukrainian film industry since 2015, was a production manager of Docudays UA IHRDFF for 4 years, had experience as a producer of the culture projects and a line producer of the films. The short documentary In 769 km, New York, which she produced, had its world premiere in the main short film competition at the Krakow Film Festival 2025. Participant of the Change co-production training by EAVE, IMS, CPH: DOX (2023-2024), B2B Doc (2023, in Gdynia), Eurodoc (2024, in Weimar) DOK Co-Pro Market (2024, Leipzig FF), Global Media Makers by American Film Independent and EAVE (2025, Trieste FF), Balkan Watchers program by Balkan Documentary Center (2025), Cedoc Market (2025, Krakow FF).
