Biography
Aliona Kachkan produced the documentary As Far As Possible (2021, dir. Ganna Iaroshevych), which screened at festivals such as Docudays UA and CineEast. The film received several awards, including the Andriy Matrosov Prize at Docudays UA, a Special Prize at the Kinoko Festival (Ukraine), and both the Special Jury and Audience Awards at the Carpathian Mountain Film Festival. She is currently developing the documentary Missing in Action (dir. Kateryna Holovko, Marharyta Melnychuk), which has been pitched at the Thessaloniki Pitching Forum, CPH:DOX, and Millennium Docs Against Gravity. Aliona has led projects across the film, fashion, and audiovisual industries. She has coordinated initiatives aimed at strengthening the capacities of Ukrainian micro and small businesses, organized trade missions for Ukrainian companies to key industry events, and supported training programs for women-led businesses. She holds an MA in Arts from Maastricht University (Netherlands) and a BA in Political Science from Kyiv-Mohyla Academy (Ukraine).
