DOCU/CAMP

We are happy to announce that for festival guests aged 3 to 12, there will be a safe and creative space provided by our partner Baby Nest
in the heart of Podil! Here’s everything you need to know about the venue, the program of activities, and visiting conditions.

DOCU/CAMP is a long-standing tradition of Docudays UA, previously known as DOC/SADOC, which we are reviving this year in an expanded format as a children’s camp. It’s a space where parents can leave their children under the care of professional educators for a week of the festival’s rich program.

From June 7 to 12, the space in partnership Baby Nest Podil will be open. This venue, created by the Ukrainian School of Liberal Arts - ULAS School, is equipped with areas for creativity, educational games, sports, outdoor activities, as well as its own bomb shelter and generators.

The program for children is divided into two age groups: 3–6 years and 7–12 years. The founder of Baby Nest and the ULAS School, Maria Protsiuk, shared details about the program:

“Little ones and school aged children  will be fully immersed in various aspects of artistic activity. In creative painting workshops, they will be creating  their own incredible masterpieces, learn the Ebru technique and paint on water, invent and bring to life their own quests and games, and develop their imagination, fantasy, and creative skills.

Our space is located very close to the Zhovten Cinema, at Turyvska Street 12, right in the heart of Podil, just a few steps away from the main festival location. Parents can stay nearby, knowing their children are not only safe but also immersed in a magical world of creativity, play, and discovery. The festival will become a shared experience – for both adults and the youngest ones!”

In our previous announcement, we introduced the program of animation and workshops, created by our festival friends – Latvian producer Uldis Cekulis and director Krista Burāne. This program will also be part of this year’s DOCU/CAMP and will be equally interesting for children of different ages.
