Max Afanasyev, Oleksandr Yudin. Liquid Television

Duration
120’

Liquid TV. The story of the format’s invention and the syndrome of information asphyxia. The thread breaks where it is weakest: a boundary between the fictional, the documentary and the observed. Where can we find stories in our daily life? What features does reality need in order to be noticed? Where does an event hide and how can it be staged? Macro-event and micro-event. What is fiction documentation? A bus conversation as a basis for dramaturgy. Failed at Youtube, but successful in the gallery.

Max Afanasiev lives in Kherson. He holds a degree in architecture and design. In 1996, he completed a course in film direction. Since 1999, he has been an art director of the Totem Centre. Since 2000, he takes part in Ukrainian and international exhibitions and art projects. Award winner at film festivals. Since 2009, he has been designing and holding creative workshops.

Oleksandr Yudin is a director of the Mausecinema Studio which was founded on the basis of the Totem Centre in 2010. Created 12 fiction short films of different genres. Participated in 16 international film festivals, won 11 awards.
