The program of author’s master classes and lectures, as well as presentations of diverse documentary related initiatives, took place at the Docudays UA-2018.

Creating the New Woman
The critic and well-known expert on Soviet Kulturfilm Barbara Wurm focused on one Soviet film To woman about woman from the State Archive of Ukraine, and discussed its specific features in the context of early Soviet film, as well as the social question - the new woman - who hereby remains unsolved. The event was moderated by Stanislav Menzelevskyi (of the Oleksandr Dovzhenko National Centre).
The right to history in documentary cinema
Is documentary cinema connected to reality? Where is the boundary between documentary cinema and propaganda? Where is the place of the documentary director in the system of coordinates between art and politics? These questions was discussed by film critics from the US, Denmark, Spain and Ukraine at the roundtable. Moderator: Daria Badyor, film critic and editor of the Culture section at LB.ua.

    Festival Pass

    The festival pass gives you access to the Docudays UA-2026 program. With it, you will be able to attend screenings of the best documentaries from all over the world and meetings with their authors at the best price.

    This year, we offer a choice of three types of festival passes: classic, student and morning. The classic pass is valid from June 5 to June 12 at Zhovten Cinema and KINO42, while the morning pass allows you to book tickets for film screenings that start no later than 16:30 from June 5 to June 12 at Zhovten Cinema and KINO42.

    If you are a student (school or university), please indicate your student ID number. Internally displaced persons who are studying and do not have such a document can indicate the IDP certificate number.

    Upon successful payment, you will receive an electronic festival pass.
