Growing up in a small coastal village on the East Neuk of Fife, Paul Wright has always had a passion to create. Starting with drawing and painting, he found the medium of film. Armed with a dodgy VHS camcorder he ventured alone onto the isolated beach and nearby forests, to make strange little films that nobody ever saw about the texture of the sea and the light in the woods.

Shortly after graduating from the National Film and Television School (NFTS), Paul made his first feature film For Those In Peril which received international distribution.

Arcadia is his first documentary film. Paul has always been interested in pushing the boundaries of what is possible with cinema, making sensory films that explore engaging stories in unique and original ways whilst always keeping the emotional heart of the piece central to the work.
