Project Stone Embroideries of Nova Kakhovka

Duration
480’
Stone Embroideries of Nova Kakhovka is a multidisciplinary project about the stone embroideries — ornamental panels created by Hryhorii Dovzhenko in the 1950s during the construction of the Kakhovka Hydroelectric Power Plant, which adorned around 180 buildings in Nova Kakhovka.

Creator: Viktoriia Rozentsveih

A multidisciplinary artist from Nova Kakhovka working with graphics, installation, video, textiles, and photography. Actively experimenting with form, she combines traditional graphic techniques such as etching and monotype with modern printing technologies. Viktoriia explores themes of memory, personal experience, the concept of “home” and what shapes it. She has participated in exhibitions in Ukraine and abroad, including “Nobody. Nowhere. Never. Indeed!” (2024, DCCC, Dnipro), Secondary Archive: Women Artists in War (2024, Galeria Labirynt, Lublin, Poland), among others.
