A video essay dedicated to the memory of landscape, forced displacement, and the similarities between the places one escapes from and those one ends up in. Through the image of a city lake — as a waypoint, a memory, a dream — the author explores bodily memory, the loss of home, nostalgia without return, and the internal disorientation that persists for years after the war began.
A multidisciplinary visual artist, designer, researcher, and experimental musician. Works with video essays, animation, 3D, drawing, sculpture, and sound. Vitalii builds his artistic practice around hybrid landscapes. He is interested in creating objects from the remnants of material culture and exploring the connections between digital and physical materials through the lens of non-human and post-human studies. Participant of exhibitions and festivals: Purity is not an option (2024, Posibila, Bucharest, Romania), Forms of Presence (2023, Mystetskyi Arsenal, Kyiv), and others.
