My mother led a very unorthodox life, living in palaces and under bridges.
Her independence was most important to her, but it ultimately became her undoing. She decided to live in her tiny car for 10 years. Only when the car broke down, and she was unable to walk did we get the chance to reconnect.

Rebecca Blöcher is a visual artist who specializes in animation and drawing. She studied illustration at the University of Hamburg. In her films, she mixes photography and stop motion with 2D animation. Her award-winning films have been invited to international film festivals such as Zinebi Bilbao, Encounters, Ann Arbor, DOK Leipzig and Hiroshima Animation Festival and have been exhibited as installations.Selected Filmography
