This year, Suspline Movlennia has joined the RAW DOC showcase as the main partner to provide financial support for one of the participating films.
The RAW DOC showcase will take place for the second time as part of the festival. It is designed for filmmakers who work on rough cuts of their films and want to present a test screening to experts from the international film industry for professional feedback. During the closed screenings, participants will have the opportunity to speak with potential partners, including representatives of European public broadcasters, sales agents, and international festivals.
In addition to receiving consultations and feedback, selected projects will compete for financial support of 50,000 UAH from Suspline Movlennia to finalize their documentary production, with a subsequent screening on Suspline Movlennia platforms (non-exclusive public presentation rights on Suspline Movlennia channels and digital platforms for one year within Ukraine, as defined in the relevant agreements). The winning project will be selected by the Suspline Movlennia team.
Suspline Movlennia is the largest independent media company in Ukraine. Since 2020, it has actively collaborated with Ukrainian independent film producers. In its commissioned and co-produced content, Suspline Movlennia focuses on creative and historical documentaries for a broad audience across its television and digital platforms, as well as for international exposure at festivals, film markets, and special screenings.
Additional prizes for RAW DOC participants include a free editing consultation from the Rough Cut Service team and the opportunity to screen a rough cut of the film with their team at the KINO42 cinema.
Screening day access will be restricted – only participants of the selected projects and specially invited international experts will be allowed to attend.
