Dmytro Dokunov, a Ukrainian nature-loving DOP and digital artist is enrolled in a combat unit to face the Russian invasion. With his mobile camera always on, Dmytro films his entire experience of becoming a warrior, while desperately trying to preserve his humanity.
Ukrainian director, journalist, and anthropologist Oleksandr Tkachenko has spent nearly 20 years creating original content for local and national media, including documentary films, series, and authored TV programs. His work focuses on issues of social and cultural anthropology, the lives of minorities, social and ethnic groups, and history. He has collaborated with international institutions such as the Council of Europe and EUBAM.
He has also worked as a producer and director of commercials, art projects, commercial promos, and music videos for Ukrainian artists.
Where Everything Disappears is Oleksandr Tkachenko’s first international feature-length film, created with the support of ARTE as part of the Generation Ukraine project. The film had its world premiere at FIPADOC 2026.
After completing the film, Oleksandr joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
