This year, Suspilne Broadcasting joined the RAW DOC showcase for the second time as a partner, providing financial support to one of the participating films.
The RAW DOC showcase, now a recurring part of the festival programme, is designed for filmmakers working on rough cuts of their films. It offers a platform to test-screen their projects for international industry experts and receive in-depth professional feedback.
Selected projects will not only benefit from consultations with Spanish producer and consultant Marta Andrea and awards from Rough Cut Service and KINO42, but will also compete for UAH 65,000* in financial support from Suspilne Broadcasting. The final decision will be made by Suspilne’s team.
Suspilne Broadcasting is the largest independent media company in Ukraine, actively engaged in collaboration with Ukrainian independent producers since 2020. Its commissioning and co-production strategy centres on creative and historical documentary content for wide audiences, with distribution across its television and digital platforms as well as international exposure at festivals, film markets, and industry showcases.
The screening day will be held as a closed event, accessible exclusively to participants of the selected projects and specially invited international experts. Applications for RAW DOC are open until 20 April. Don’t miss the deadline!
*The funding — inclusive of taxes — is aimed at the final stage of documentary production. To receive it, participants must sign a one-year agreement granting Suspilne non-exclusive broadcasting rights across its TV and digital platforms in Ukraine.
