Meet the experts who will select the winning films of DOCU/WORLD, the international competition for feature and medium-length documentaries.
The DOCU/WORLD jury includes Kateryna Botanova, a cultural researcher, curator, and writer who lives and works between Ukraine and Switzerland; Tomáš Poštulka, a Czech programmer and documentary film curator; and Enikő Gyureskó, a Hungarian cultural manager and one of the leading figures in the field of documentary film in Europe.
As a reminder, the DOCU/WORLD international competition will feature creative documentaries addressing ethical and legal issues through expressive artistic means.
Kateryna Botanova
She joined the Frontier Institute as the head of media projects in 2024 and launched the project 25 Strategic Questions to Ukraine with Ukraïner in 2026.
From 2023 to 2025, she was a guest curator of the Research Platform at PinchukArtCentre, where she edited the anthology Reclaiming History. Decoloniality and Art in Ukraine after 1991 and curated the exhibition “Archipelago of History.” In the summer of 2025, Botanova also led the art project “Kherson. The Steppe Holds” at Mystetskyi Arsenal.
Since 2014, she has been co-curating the Swiss biennial Culturescapes.
Her texts have been published in various media as well as in books released by Routledge, McGill-Queen’s University Press, Forum Transregionale Studien, Ibidem Verlag, and others. Kateryna Botanova is a member of PEN Ukraine.
Tomáš Poštulka
He was born in Olomouc, Czech Republic, and studied at Palacký University, doing his Master's in Film and Media studies in 2020.
Since 2016, Tomáš has worked for the festival Academia Film Olomouc, currently as the assistant to the communications team. He was responsible for the textual identity of the Pastiche Filmz film club in Olomouc. In 2020, he began working as a programmer and outreach coordinator for the One World Film Festival. Since 2022, he has been the head of the programme of the festival.Enikő Gyureskó
Enikő holds a Bachelor’s in Art History and a Master’s in Design and Art Management. Since 2020, she has been part of the KineDok team, a member of the Documentary Association Europe and the European Film Academy. From 2022 to 2025, she served as a board member of MADOKE, the Hungarian Documentary Association.
