A 9-year-old Ukrainian circus acrobat, Sasha, is developing his skills and performance up in the air. In 2022 Russia’s full-scale invasion in Ukraine challenges the path to his dreams. The war took his home but not his inner strength or family.
A 9-year-old Sasha studies at a circus studio in Kharkiv. He devotes his spare time to practicing aerial exercises. Sasha is supported by his family, especially his father. His teacher and the head of the studio, Svitlana, sees him as a talented artist. Sasha follows her advice, even though her strict methods can be too harsh for him. After February 24, 2022 Svitlana evacuates to Budapest with students to save their lives and continue training. Sasha joins her later. He training hard for a major international competition. The war brings new challenges: Sasha is unsure whether the studio, with its strict foundation and rules, is the right place for him. He make decisions far beyond his years.
