A revelation of the modern day war reporting, introducing the hidden perspective of the fixersthe journalists’ local guides into the realm of war.

Invisible to the world, fixers are the ones that allow war reporters to pass into thedangerous realm of the warand safely come back, bringing news to the audiences along the way. Fixing the War intimately follows three fixers in Ukraine, showing the local perspective on the process of making global news. In the era of the weaponization of media, when nefarious propaganda undermines thebasic notions of fact and truth, the film will show the process of reporting from a war zone. Seen for the first time from the perspective of the invisible news fixers, this process of newsmaking appears to be as much dependent on dignity and empathy, as on professionalism and courage.
