Andrii Lytvynenko is a film and television director. He graduated from the Karpenko-Kary University of Theatre, Cinema, and Television in 2012 with a degree in film and television directing. In 2013, he studied at the Andrzej Wajda School in Warsaw.
Andrii has directed several short films and was the creator and one of the directors of the film almanac Beyond Euro (2013, Docudays UA). He also participated in the anthology Ukrainian Voices (2014, goEast Film Festival, Eastern Neighbors Film Festival, Cinedoc Festival, LET’S CEE Film Festival) and Euromaidan. Rough Cut (Jihlava International Documentary Film Festival, IDFA, Artdocfest, Special Mention Silver Eye Award). He implemented the Lab Dokutoloka project—a training and pitching session for modernization projects in documentary filmmaking. He was also the Ukrainian producer of the film The Trial: The Russian State vs. Oleg Sentsov (Berlinale, 2016). In addition, he directed the documentary film Askania Reserve (2019), which received funding from the Ukrainian State Film Agency and was awarded the Student Jury Prize at Docudays UA and a Special Jury Prize at Pelicam in Romania. In 2024, two of his works were released: the documentary series A Thousand Year War and the documentary film Everything Needs to Live, which was presented at the Kraków Film Festival.
