DOCU/СLASS workshop: Building and protecting the future

01 June 2023
This year’s DOCU/CLASS will be held offline at Zhovten Cinema (Classic Hall) on 5–7 June in the format of public talks which everyone can join and ask questions of the masterclass speakers.

The DOCU/CLASS workshop will offer public discussions with film professionals and cultural managers about building and protecting the future.

“In this year’s DOCU/CLASS, we will talk about how to responsibly shape the image of the future we want to live in. In the past year, there has been a lot of discussion around the responsibility of cultural actors during the war, because it is this sphere where battles for narratives, opposition to propaganda, and conceptualisation of the future take place every day. Throughout the past year, we have been actively trying to communicate our vision in different spheres on international platforms, to preserve and re-actualise our heritage, to lay down the potential for development and guarantees for our future. So now we invite you to discuss this experience, share success stories and problematic fields which still require our ingenuity, and think together about how we can shape and protect our future,” says Yulia Kovalenko, Programme Director of the 20th Docudays UA.
