Announcing the results of the open call for Berlinale accreditation

20 November 2024

The selection committee of the Docudays NGO has processed 16 applications from documentary film professionals for the EFM Market Badge + Festival accreditation at the 75th Berlinale and is ready to announce the names of four winners.

Our goal was to select the most motivated documentary film professionals whose professional work will be significantly impacted by their participation in the 75th Berlinale.

The members of the Selection Committee are:

  • Darya Averchenko, director of the Communications Department, member of the Selection Council
  • Darya Bassel, director of the DOCU/PRO industry platform
  • Roman Bondarchuk, art director, member of the Selection Council
  • Yuliya Kovalenko, programme director, member of the Selection Council
  • Gennady Kofman, member of the board of the Docudays NGO, member of the Selection Council

The winners of the selection, who will receive the EFM Market Badge + Festival festival accreditation for free, are:

  • Alla Mitiukova, director (House No. 359, 2023; Oasis, 2024)
  • Zlata Veresniak, director (Are You Here?, 2023; 100 000 Nights, in post-production)
  • Bella Terzi, producer (No Shadow in the Forest, 2025, dir. Volodymyr Tykhyi, in post-production)
  • Olha Symonenko, producer (The Ferryman, dir. Pavlo Dorohoy, 2027, in co-production with Anita Norfolk (FolkFilm, Norway); Flowers on Marsovo, dir. Snizhana Husarevych, 2026), independent director and editor

Accreditation provides access to the European Film Market events, festival screenings at the 75th Berlinale, as well as industry events. We believe that this opportunity will become an effective tool for Ukrainian filmmakers to develop their own projects and our common cultural diplomacy.
