This presentation will offer an overview of the French ecosystem of film production and co-production. It will present the key institutions and funding mechanisms that support creation, with a focus on the role of the CNC, public policies, and the regulatory framework fostering cultural diversity. The specificities of the French financing system for cinematographic works and for audiovisual productions will be explained, highlighting their distinct logics and support schemes. The main international co-production treaties signed by France, as well as opportunities for minority coproductions, will also be discussed.
Concrete examples of recent co-productions will illustrate how these mechanisms operate in practice.
The presentation will conclude with practical guidance for producers interested in seeking to collaborate with French partners.

Manon Duverger holds a Master's degree in Audiovisual Law from Sorbonne University. She worked for nine years within the Directorate of European and International Affairs of the CNC, where she managed several international co-production support schemes. She initiated and led the "European Solidarity Fund for Ukrainian Films" for three years. She is currently working at the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs, overseeing cinema and the audiovisual attaché network.
Natalia Libet isa producer and co-founder of the women-led production company 2Brave Productions, experienced in co-production and finance through her work with international companies. She has produced several successful features, including Kateryna Gornostai's Timestamp (2025 Berlinale Competition) and Stop-Zemlia (2021 Crystal Bear Berlinale Generation 14+), Mantas Kvedaravicius' Parthenon (2019 Venice International Critics’ Week) and Anna Buryachkova's Forever-Forever (2023 Venice Orizzonti Extra). She holds a U.S. MBA as a recipient of the 2000 Edmund Muskie Fellowship Award. She is a member of European and Ukrainian Film Academies, an alumna of EURODOC 2021, Emerging Producers 2022 and Nipkow Program 2023. Natalia also serves as the Head of Tatino Films' First Cut+, an annual workshop focusing on marketing and positioning of feature films. In 2024, Natalia became a Film Independent Global Media Makers fellow. Based in Kyiv, Ukraine.
