When film festivals and theatrical distribution end, every documentary aims to go online. Theoretically, various streaming platforms are waiting with open arms, but in practice... Well, we’ll talk about what it looks like in practice at the panel discussion “Rules of the Game in the Streaming Field,” where we will focus on the perspective of streamers. What kind of partnerships are platforms willing to offer? What films are they looking for? And how do audiences watch documentaries online? We’ll explore these questions with representatives from Megogo, Sweet TV, Kyivstar TV, and Takflix.

Valeriia Tolochyna is a Global Chief Marketing Officer at MEGOGO. With over twenty years of experience in marketing, advertising, and PR, she has developed strategies at the intersection of creativity, innovation, and measurable business results for both national and international brands.
Valeriya’s career path includes executive positions at leading companies. In 2006, she led the PR department at ELDORADO and later became its Director of Advertising and PR. In 2010, she joined INTERTOP as Marketing Director for Ukraine and Kazakhstan, overseeing brand development, e-commerce, and loyalty programs.
MEGOGO is an international media service founded in 2011 in Kyiv. It is a leader among OTT platforms in Ukraine and operates in countries of Eastern Europe, Central Asia, and the South Caucasus. A significant portion of its catalog is also available worldwide (excluding Russia and the Republic of Belarus).
MEGOGO’s media library includes tens of thousands of content units: TV channels with interactive features; movies, series, cartoons, and games; educational and blogger content; audiobooks, podcasts, and radio. The media service also holds exclusive broadcasting rights for sporting events, such as matches of the Ukrainian national football team in the UEFA Euro 2024 qualifiers, the UEFA Champions League, UEFA Europa League, UEFA Conference League, UEFA Super Cup, La Liga, Ligue 1, Serie A, the Spanish Cup (Copa del Rey), the German Cup (DFB-Pokal), the Italian Cup, K2 Promotions Ukraine, Top Rank, and many others, organizing production in accordance with the requirements of the rights holders.
Yuriy Povoroznyk is a Ukrainian journalist, film critic, producer, media and content expert with many years of experience. Since 2020, he has been the Chief Content Editor at the national online cinema platform SWEET.TV, where he is responsible for shaping the platform’s strategic content policy. In 2024, he was appointed Chief Producer of the platform. Before joining SWEET.TV, Yuriy co-founded and served as Editor-in-Chief of Vertigo, a media outlet dedicated to film and pop culture. He also authorises the educational course “Television: History, Format, and Influence” on Projector.Humanitarium, where he explores the evolution of television from its origins to the present day. In addition, Yuriiy is actively involved in developing podcasting in Ukraine. His projects include Vertigo Weekly, Potterolovy, and Radio Palantyr, which have gained popularity among listeners and received critical acclaim.

The streaming service offers over 300 top TV channels, Hollywood premieres right after theatrical release, exclusive Ukrainian films, and the best collection of movies, cartoons, and series in Ukraine from Disney, Universal, HBO, and other leading studios.
Maryna Kaplun is the Head of Content at Kyivstar TV with over thirteen years of experience in media. She joined the 1+1 media team in 2017 and, since 2022, has led content at the partner film and television platform Kyivstar TV. The team is working on its first original dramedy series, Vitia, marking a major step in producing Ukrainian series for OTT platforms. The project is being developed as part of Kyivstar TV’s strategic partnership with FILM.UA Group.
Nadia Parfan is a film director, creative producer, and curator of cultural projects. Co-founder of the International Festival of Film and Urbanism “86” in Slavutych, Ukraine (2014–2018) and the production company Phalanstery Films. Founder and curator of the Ukrainian online cinema platform Takflix.com. Member of the Ukrainian Film Academy, the National Union of Cinematographers of Ukraine, and the Documentary Film Association. Director and screenwriter of Reve ta stohne on Tour (2016) – Special Jury Mention at Docudays UA, Heat Singers (2019) – Golden Dzyga and Kinokolo awards for Best Documentary, and It’s a Date (2023) – Special Mention of the Berlinale Jury. Producer of the anthology MyStreetFilmsUkraine (2015–2018) and the special project Takflix Original.
